IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification has been officially released by Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) for engagement of Apprentices at AOD Digboi Refinery. Indian Oil Corporation Limited, a Fortune Global 500 Company and a Government of India Undertaking, has invited online applications for Apprentice posts under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 (as amended). Candidates who meet the required eligibility criteria can apply online through NAPS/NATS portal from 11 February 2026 to 25 February 2026.

Trade Apprentice – Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) – 32 Posts
Trade Apprentice (Boiler) – 2 Posts
Technician Apprentice (Chemical) – 9 Posts
Technician Apprentice (Instrumentation) – 5 Posts
The number of vacancies is tentative and may increase or decrease as per management discretion.
IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed the required qualification as on the cut-off date 31 January 2026.
Trade Apprentice – Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant)
Qualification: 3-year B.Sc with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry.
Trade Apprentice (Boiler)
Qualification: 3-year B.Sc with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry.
Technician Apprentice (Chemical)
Qualification: 3-year Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, Chemical Technology or Refinery & Petrochemical Engineering.
Technician Apprentice (Instrumentation)
Qualification: 3-year Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Instrumentation & Electronics, Instrumentation & Control Engineering or Applied Electronics and Instrumentation.
Candidates must have secured minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates for reserved seats).
Important: Candidates holding higher professional qualifications such as BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA are not eligible to apply.

Minimum Age: 18 Years
Maximum Age: 24 Years
The age will be calculated as on 31 January 2026.
Age Relaxation
SC/ST: 5 Years
OBC (NCL): 3 Years
PwBD: 10 Years (additional relaxation as per category)
IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Selection Process
There will be no written examination for IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026.
Selection will be purely based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification. A merit list will be prepared in descending order of marks.
In case of tie in percentage:
- Older candidate (based on date of birth) will be given preference.
- If date of birth is same, higher marks in Matriculation will be considered.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.

IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Medical Fitness
Selected candidates must undergo pre-engagement medical examination as per Apprentices Act guidelines. Only medically fit candidates will be engaged as apprentices.
Stipend Details
The stipend will be paid as per the Apprentices Act 1961/1973 and Corporation guidelines. No company accommodation or HRA will be provided.

For Codes 101 & 103 – Register and apply through NAPS portal.
For Codes 104 & 107 – Register and apply through NATS portal.
Candidates must ensure that their profile details including educational qualification and percentage are correctly updated.
Step 2: Fill Microsoft/Google Form
After applying on NAPS/NATS portal, candidates must also submit additional details through the official Microsoft/Google form link mentioned in the notification.
Completion of both steps is mandatory.
