Educational Qualification (Post Wise)
1. PS to VC (Stenographer Grade-I)
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university
- Government Commercial Certificate (GCC) in Stenography (English/Gujarati)
- Speed: 90 wpm (Gujarati) / 120 wpm (English) shorthand
- Typing speed: 40 wpm (Gujarati) / 50 wpm (English)
- Minimum 3 years experience as Stenographer
- Basic computer knowledge certificate required
2. Junior Superintendent
- Any Graduate from recognized university
- Minimum 3 years experience as Senior Assistant / Senior Clerk
- Basic computer knowledge certificate
- Knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi
3. Junior Stenographer Grade-II
- Bachelor’s Degree
- GCC in English Stenography
- Speed: 120 wpm shorthand, 50 wpm typing
- Basic computer knowledge
4. Store Keeper
- Any Graduate
- 3 years experience as Assistant Store Keeper / Clerk
- Basic computer knowledge
- Knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi
5. Electrical Supervisor
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
OR - Diploma in Electrical Engineering + 2 years experience
- Basic computer knowledge
6. Senior Assistant
- Any Graduate
- 3 years experience as Assistant/Clerk in Govt/University/PSU
- Basic computer knowledge
- Gujarati or Hindi knowledge
7. Franking Machine Operator
- Any Graduate

- Preference to candidates with 1 year experience in franking work

Age Limit (As on Last Date)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 35 to 37 Years (post wise)
- Age relaxation applicable for SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, PwBD, Women and Ex-Servicemen as per Gujarat Government rules.
Pay Scale / Salary – Saurashtra University Recruitment 2026
All posts are on fixed pay for first 5 years, after which regular pay scale will be applicable.
- PS to VC (Steno Grade-I): ₹49,600 per month (Level-8 after 5 years)
- Junior Superintendent / Jr. Steno: ₹40,800 per month
- Store Keeper / Electrical Supervisor: ₹40,800 per month
- Senior Assistant / Clerk / DEO / Franking Operator: ₹26,000 per month
